NexBeacon began with a simple obsession. Our founder has always been captivated by the art of traditional watchmaking — the exacting craft, the balance of a well-drawn dial, the quiet beauty of a design that lasts.
But there was a conviction underneath it: the timeless character of a classic watch shouldn't be left behind by the smart era — and the limitless potential of wearable technology shouldn't be trapped in yet another featureless square on the wrist.
So the goal became clear. Build a smart watch that carries the soul of a classic timepiece, and still has room to evolve — to iterate fast, and keep getting better long after it's on your wrist.
The name was chosen on purpose. A beacon is a light that guides — steady, and always looking ahead.
That's the intent behind NexBeacon: to let new technology shine like a beacon, sending out a steady, renewing source of innovation — starting from New Brunswick, and reaching outward from here.
That conviction took shape as three watches — each a different answer to the same idea.
We'd rather say less and mean it. When we describe what a watch can do, we describe what it actually does — no medical claims it can't back, no rescue promises it can't keep, no origin story it can't stand behind.
That's why our watches are described as designed and assembled in Canada, with components sourced from China and Hong Kong — the claim we can defend, not the one that sounds biggest. Honesty, for us, is part of the design.
NexBeacon also builds something that may seem worlds away from a watch: autonomous yard robotics, under the Yarbo line. A robot for the yard and a watch for the wrist look unrelated — but the belief underneath is the same. Use technology to free people from what weighs on them, whether that's the work of a large property or keeping an eye on their own wellbeing.
That's the beacon we're building toward — on the wrist, and beyond.
